Instant Meal 2023
Instant Meal was a week-long performance in conjunction with PARALLEL Festival, an international collaboration between postgraduate students at Chelsea College of Arts and Hong Kong Baptist University. The performance took place each day from 12pm (UK time) and 8pm (HK time) where I had different volunteers in each respective geographic location participate.

About the festival – excerpt from press release for PARALLEL Festival
From peeling mandarin oranges to making your own zines, PARALLEL Festival invites anyone and everyone to participate in a series of workshops, performances, works, talks, and publications organised collaboratively by the MA Fine Art cohort at UAL Chelsea, and MA students at Hong Kong Baptist University. The festival will be taking place physically in London and Hong Kong, as well as in the virtual realm.
The festival investigates what can be meant by community and collaboration within an international context among peers across the globe.
London: January 23 – 27, 2023
The festival will be showcasing collaborative works at Cookhouse Gallery in London where Chelsea MAFA students have been able to help realise projects by HKBU students as well as facilitate hybrid performances and workshops.
Hong Kong: February 6 – 24, 2023
The festival relocates to CVA Gallery where HKBU students will respond to the first iteration of the festival in London and help communicate Chelsea MAFA projects in Hong Kong.
Virtually: January 23 - February 24
A virtual interactive exhibition will be available throughout the course of the festival and a series of zines and publications will follow the event.
“Throughout this collaborative process, a commonality that keeps surfacing seems to be the idea of food. I think this might have to do with our attempt to tap into what connects us sensorially and cross culturally” explains Hannah Imhoff, MAFA student at Chelsea College of Arts
