Sentient Cities is a joint exhibition exploring social relations to our inhabited environments, through the vast shores of data and the ambient technologies that permeate the urban landscape. It looks at ‘home’ and what this means in our neo-liberal situation, where the eeriness and hyperreality of the non-spaces that surround our bodies loom above like messengers from the gods of monoculture.
The self becomes distorted and fragmented by fetishisms of power, where a lust for control warps our connectivity and communality, making us nostalgic for a promised future.
